Workshop on Clifford Analysis and Applications
"Het
Pand", Ghent, September
03-05, 2007
The Mathematical Institute of
Charles University Prague and the Clifford Research Group of Ghent
University
are organizing a three days Workshop on Clifford Analysis and
Applications
This workshop is dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague
Jarolim Bures
(Charles
University) who died on October 01, 2006.
- Organising Committee
Fred Brackx, Frank Sommen,
Hennie De Schepper
(Ghent University) and Vladimir Soucek (Charles
University Prague)
- Conference Venue
"Het Pand" (address: Onderbergen
1) is a historical building belonging to Ghent
University, situated at
the heart of the historical and cultural center
of Ghent.
For a small map and a route description, see "How to
reach Het Pand".
Please mind that Ghent
is a quite complicated city for car drivers due to its many one way
streets and pedestrian areas!
- Note that there is a small jazz-festival
(free entrance!) in Ghent during the week-end of September 1st; you can
find the flyer (in Dutch...) here
- Invited Lectures
Fred Brackx, The
Hilbert--Cauchy connection in Hermitean Clifford analysis
Paula Cerejeiras, Clifford
analysis for
finite reflection groups
Sirkka-Liisa
Eriksson, Hyperbolic
function theory
Klaus Guerlebeck, Approximation by
monogenic polynomials
Uwe Kaehler,
Clifford
analysis and analytic signals
Vladimir Kisil, Elliptic,
parabolic and hyperbolic function theories
Irene Sabadini, An
algebraic approach
to Hermitian monogenic functions
Frank Sommen,
Elements
of metrodynamics
Gerald Sommer, Differential
geometry of monogenic signals

pairs for several Clifford variables

equations with thermal effects in complex-quaternionic setting

Programme
- Registration and Fee
The conference fee is EUR 120, including lunches, coffee-breaks and
conference material, and is due upon arrival.
If you want to participate, please send an e-mail to: hds@cage.ugent.be
- Proceedings
The full papers will be subject to a standard refereeing procedure.
The accepted papers will be published as an issue of Advances in Applied Clifford Algebras (Editor in Chief: Jaime Keller).
Submission of your full paper:

- As Ghent
has a wide variety of hotels and B&B facilities, in an equally wide
variety of prices, we ask participants to reserve their accomodation themselves. Please make your
reservations timely, since September is a very touristic month for our
city! For specific information, or even help with your
reservation, you can always contact the tourist information office: toerisme@gent.be
- Some recommendable hotels (only a small
selection!) nearby the conference venue are:
- There also is a Youth
Hostel situated in the
historical center, or, if you like a
personal touch, some of the many Bed&Breakfast arrangements might be appealing.
