We used the last bit of silicone to seal the ends of some bit of flexible tubing,
then inserted a threaded bit on one end and a valve on the other.
The valve with lots of silicone around it.
Things went very nice, only the valve was pushed outward a few millimeters.
0.5 liter coke bottle with three small fins. The fins are held in place
with tiny bits of tape, then PVC glue is applied generously.
This picture is taken after the glue has dried; you can clearly see the white
glue at the base of the top fin.
We cut the bottoms out of two 2 liter bottles, then held them in hot
water for a few seconds. This caused the bottom few centimeters to shrink
a bit. From a third bottle, we cut a ring which now could slide nicely
over the shrunk parts of the two bottles. To finish, as always: lots of glue.
The bottle on the bottom is filled with water and a rod is placed in it;
on that rod, the freshly made bottle is let dry. Nifty eh.
Below, you can see a graphical representation of the process with only two bottles
(above, we put both bottles in hot water and used a third bottle to create
a ring to hold them together).
