To the left, Pieter's new launcher. We use Geerts yellow one to give it enough
weight and stability. Both launchers use essentially the same mechanism.
The water bottle is put here for extra stability.
A 1.5 liter bottle leaving the launch pad. A little bit slanted as you
can see, but still a nice launch.
This metal ring is very handy to push corks into bottles.
This little 0.5 liter bottle lifts off so fast that our photographer
misses it.
Another 1.5 liter bottle hitting the skies. This one goes almost perfectly
vertically (compare with the earlier picture of the somewhat slanted liftoff).
The fourth and last launch of today: another 1.5 liter bottle.
Jan managed to get the air under 6 bar pressure!
The result of four launches (three 1.5 liter bottles and one 0.5 liter):
the metal plate is slightly bent.
