CONTACTING THE DEPARTEMENTAL COORDINATOR MATHEMATICS FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
The departemental coordinator mathematics for international affairs handles all the applications of incoming exchange students.
I strongly advise to contact me (Leo Storme) when you intend to study mathematics at Ghent University within the framework of Erasmus/Socrates. It is a good idea to send the documents to me before signing them and before sending them to Ghent University, so that I can have a look at these documents. This saves a lot of time and problems when the documents are not correct.
Note that the learning agreement is made in agreement with the requirements of your home university and Ghent University. Again: it is good to send the learning agreement to me so that I can advise you in case there are problems.
Note that only after positive advise of the departemental coordinator mathematics for international affairs at Ghent University, it will be possible for you to study mathematics at Ghent University. Positive advise of the departemental coordinator at your home university, or of any other person, is not sufficient to be allowed to study mathematics at Ghent university.
Before seeking assistance, please consult the present website where most questions asked by prospective students are answered.
Once you have prepared your complete application, you can send it to Ghent university as a PDF (with scanned signatures!) of your entire application; send it via fax or via regular mail. Note that we cannot accept incomplete or incorrect applications and we need to see all signatures in the documents. Please respect also the deadlines!
