My main teaching duty is to provide first year computer science students with basic problem solving skills in discrete mathematics. An important challenge for teaching and examining this subject is to find interesting problems, since repetitive problems are less efficient in training their problem solving abilities and also cause a general disinterest for mathematics.
For this reason, I have decided to spend this page on a selection of nice problems, which can be used freely by anyone out there teaching this subject. If you have similar nice problems, I'm always happy to hear about them!
