Ghent is about 60 km north-west of Brussels, Belgium's capital.

By Plane

Take a flight to Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) or Charleroi Airport (Brussels South).

Brussels Airport (IATA code: BRU)

About 70km from Ghent.

The most convenient way to get from the airport to Ghent is by train. It takes about 1 hour. The train station is located beneath the airport. You can plan your journey on http://www.belgianrail.be/en/. (From = Brussels Airport - Zaventem, To = Gent-Sint-Pieters). Be careful, because some trains (type L) take 2 hours to get to Ghent. Sometimes it is faster to take a train half an hour later.

Charleroi Airport (IATA code: CRL)

About 105km from Ghent.

The most convenient way to get from the airport to Ghent is by the shuttle bus flibco (https://www.flibco.com/en/airports/charleroi). The shuttle bus station is located at the airport, just outside the main building.

There are two options. We recommend the first option. However, the buses to Brussels ride more frequently and, depending when your flight arrives, the second option might be faster.
