Mathematical education of Erik Rijcken

During my mathematical education, a student is presented with quite a few choices. For me, the response to those curriculum choices was almost always 'more mathematics'! In the Bachelor, those choices consisted of a minor in mathematics and already taking some more advanced courses in pure mathematics, as a preparation on the Master education.

In the first year of my Master education, I went abroad for one year with the Erasmus program. I went to NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. Making use of the local field of expertise, I took courses in homological algebra and representation theory of algebras.
