One-dimensional affine flag-transitive linear spaces
Abstract: In 1994, Buekenhout, Delandtsheer, Doyen, Kleidman, Liebeck and Saxl announced the classification of finite flag-transitive linear spaces, with a catch; the exception being those which have an automorphism group which can be embedded into AGammaL(1,q) (for some q). I will give an overview of the finite flag-transitive linear spaces and a construction of new ones. This is joint work with Michael Pauley (The University of Western Australia).
